Yet most workplace environments suffer from inadequate attention to both the quality and quantity of their communication.

How many times have we heard some of the following comments? "We're too busy to have regular meetings!", "I just wish they would listen to me!",
"Let's avoid that issue -- I don¹t want to get into another fight!", "³But my instructions were perfectly clear!", "I'm afraid to tell her what I really think!", "I feel that I can't be honest with my boss and co-workers!"
